Defense Research Analyst, Senior
Key Role:
Provide consulting services as a senior advisor and subject matter expert to the Deputy Chief of Naval Personnel or Commander Navy Personnel Command and Commander, Naval Surface Force in Surface Warfare, Personnel readiness pillar (P-Pillar), and enterprise operations. Focus on the Surface Force Type Commander (TYCOM) issues of man and train and equip, as they relate to surface ship readiness and the alignment to the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (O FRP). Leverage knowledge of the Warfare Enterprise construct, surface ship readiness issues, and the wholeness assessment process captured by the Readiness Kill Chain (RKC), Navy policy, and the process by which requirements are determined. Think conceptually at the strategic and operational levels to prepare point papers, briefs, and talking points for Flag Officers, senior Navy leaders, and readiness pillar leads. Apply in depth knowledge of Navy surface force readiness requirements and fleet organizations and present issues and information with clarity using polished communication skills. Oversee the quality of staff work from the Surface Warfare Enterprise team. Serve as the key liaison between PERS-4, DCNP or CNPC, and CNSF.
Basic
Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office and other analysis and production tools
Experience in the Navy and liaising with Navy readiness organizations, including Type Commander, OPNAV, NAVSEA, and Fleet Commander, and training staffs
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Additional
Qualifications:
Experience with Warfare Enterprise
Experience with prior staff assignment at an operational command
Experience with Navy Major Command
BA or BS degree
Surface Warfare Officer Qualification preferred
